TELUS WORLD SKINS GAMES

Honored to have been chosen as an associated painter in the event of the Telus World Skins games which took place in Lévis, Québec on 22 - 23 June 2009 at la Tempête Golf club. Geoff Ogilvy won $ 150 000 of the $ 360 000 purse. Followed by Fred Couples who finished second with four skins for $ 65 000. The Canadian Mike Weir and Ian Poulter from England have as for them collected each $ 50 000 with 2 skins each. Sergio Garcia from Spain had three skins for an amount of $ 45 000. on the picture Sergio Garcia and Michel Bell

FRED COUPLES LE GENTLEMAN .....

Fred Couples Cris DiMarco et Michel Bell .. discutent de Golf.????... pas vraiment, ils se passionnent pour la peinture. "Fred Couples a toujours fait partie de la Famille Bell dans le sens ou il a été une source d'inspiration pour son esprit sportif, son attitude, bref le champion que l'on a envie d'être. Même ma mère Murielle est sa plus grande fan. Comme je le faisais remarquer à Fred Couples. ..... Puis tout à coup, j'ai eu l'idée de demander à Fred s'il accepterait que l'on passe un coup de fll à ma mère à la maison pour qu'il la salut. Le sympathique golfeur s'est fait un plaisir de le faire. Il a même longuement converser avec elle.... QUELLE CLASSE CE COUPLES !!! A LA MAISON.. après avoir raccroché, mon père Marcel demande à ma mère " tu peux tu me dire avec qui tu parlais en anglais" . Ma mère toute excitée de lui répondre "mais avec Fred Couples ...." "Fred Couples t'a téléphoné @#$%$#@?????? ouainnnn je pense que tu devrais aller te coucher Murielle, tu es un peu fatiguée !!!!"

HOMMAGE A CHARLIE CHAPLIN

Charlie Chaplin à Québec... sur la photo Dolores Chaplin, Richard Garneau et Michel Bell Dans le cadre du Grand Rire 2009 Charlie Chaplin a été mis à l'honneur au Grand Théatre de Québec. Le film culte City Lights fut présenté au Grand Théatre de Québec accompagné par l'orchestre symphonique de Québec ce 12 juin 2009. Lors d'un cocktail bénéfice Miche Bell a offert une oeuvre, scène tirée des Lumières de la ville. Le dévoilement a été fait en présence de personnalités telles que Dolores Chaplin, petite fille de l'acteur, Philippe Meylan président du musée de Chaplin, les frères Nacash, Kate Guyonvarch, présidente de Roy Export, compagnie fondée par Chaplin qui détient les droits. Le spectacle a été présenté par un de ses plus grands fan Monsieur Yvon Deschamps.

Roberto Benigni à Quebec

Dans le cadre de l'ouverture de la saison du Grand Rire 2009, Monsieur Roberto Benigni, invité d'honneur de cette première soirée, nous a offert un grand spectacle à la hauteur de sa réputation. Après une introduction très humoristique sur sa venue au Québec, il a livré une superbe performance de la divine comédie de Dante. Lors de cette soirée Michel Bell a offert une oeuvre le représentant. Cette toile a fait l'objet d'une vente aux enchères dont les profits ont été versés à des oeuvres humanitaires.

Finally Michel Bell met Bob Martin .. Guess Where ? in Wimbledon.. they are working together for the past 2 years. It was a great meeting between two passionnate persons. They are sharing great ideas and project together.. To follow closely.. Finalement, Michel Bell a rencontré Bob Martin. Devinez ou ? à Wimbledon Ils travaillent ensemble depuis 2 ans. Harry Belafonte in Québec

C’est le 5 juin dernier en présence de M. Harry Belafonte, ambassadeur international de l’Unicef, qu’a eu lieu une soirée bénéfice au Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec qui a permis d’amasser des fonds au profit d’UNICEF Canada. Le lendemain, 6 juin, un second événement bénéfice s’est déroulé à la Galerie Bellattiude de la rue St-Joseph en présence de M. Belafonte. Outre celui-ci, M. Nigel Fisher, président d'UNICEF Canada, le Lieutenant Général Roméo Dallaire de même que plusieurs personnalités des milieux d’affaires et culturels étaient également présentes lors de l’événement au Musée. M. Martin Bouchard, fondateur de la société Copernic, a d’ailleurs mis la main sur un tableau de Michel Bell, dans le cadre d’une mise aux enchères, en versant 35 000 $ à l’UNICEF. La peinture représente Harry Belafonte lors de sa première visite au Rwanda en tant qu'ambassadeur international d’UNICEF en 1994. Organisées par Michel Bell, homme d'affaires et artiste peintre ainsi que par la propriétaire de la Galerie Bellattitude, Mme Nathalie Christiaens, ces soirées ont permis d’amasser un montant de près de 100 000 $ pour l'UNICEF. Michel Bell s'est par ailleurs vu décerner la distinction nationale de Bénévole de l'année d'UNICEF Canada, le samedi 8 juin au Mont-Saint-Anne, lors de l'assemblée annuelle.

GENERAL ROMEO DALLAIRE

On december 4th, 2006 I wanted to pay homage to the General Romeo Dallaire, his life, expérience and history is a model for all of us.. his integrety and courage saved 34 000 people in Rwanda in 1994. His painting was unveiled, at our place, during this evening in front of 130 guest .. Bob Martin Photography

Bob Martin is a multi-award winning sports photographer specialising in shooting action, graphic and editorial pictures and I'm very proud to have him as a main collaborator. During a career spanning the last twenty years, Bob has photographed every major sporting event; from the last ten Summer and Winter Olympics, to Elephant Polo and Horse Racing on Ice. His photography has been published in numerous publications including Sports Illustrated and have been recognised by more than 53 national and international awards. Event "Vue sur Bond 007"

Sir Roger Moore and Michel Bell unveiled the artwork named "Vue sur Bond 007" in Québec on February 24, 2006 during the "Vue sur Bond 007" event presented by the Festival du cinéma des 3 Amériques. It was organised to remind us the contribution of one of the most important producer of this series, Mr Harry Saltzman born in the province of Québec. This project also aim to raise funds for the 7th edition of the Festival du cinéma des 3 Amériques and for UNICEF. World of sports painting

Born in 1959 in Québec City, Canada, Michel Bell spent most of his life there. After graduating in physics from Laval University in 1981, he developed his talent for sports, moving to Maui, Hawaii, to enjoy one of his passions, windsurfing. This led to his discovery of American artists.

When he returned to Quebec, with the rank of 10th in world championship windsurfing (1981), he began painting, inspired more particularly by LeRoy Neiman and Americo Makk. In his athletic family, his brother Danny Bell was one of the best handball players in the world for over 20 years. Both family sports served as inspiration for his first paintings. Thereafter, he broadened his repertoire to include the world of sports.

In 2004, after several years of practice, he decided to share his creations in art shows and offer them for sale.

Self-Taught Painter

A self-taught painter, Bell developed his own technique based on his observations of the work of these two artists. He first tried analyzing colours, textures and style, and then create his own artistic inclination. His personal technique is the result of trial, error and inspiration.
