On December 4th, 2006, artist Michel Bell paid homage to the Lieutenant General Romeo Dallaire. General Dallaire is a model for all of us. His integrity and courage saved 34 000 people in Rwanda in 1994. General Dallaire's painting was unveiled at the artist's residence in front of 130 guests.
General Dallaire's book "Shaking Hands with the Devil" is a must-read. His story is a powerful testimony of the Rwanda genocide. The story was also made into a movie, with actor Roy Dupuis casted as the General.
